Farmer Bill's Country Market has hay for sale all year round. The grass grown for hay is a mixture of tall fescue, orchard grass and small amount of clover. Some fields have timothy added depending on the soil type. Three crops are produced during the haying season, and sometimes four crops have been produced depending on the weather. Farmer Bill produces excellent hay and most customers place their orders early on in the year. The 1st crop is made into silage or haylage and the 2nd and 3rd crops are made into hay bales. Environmental hay bales are available for ditches and other crossing controls. Hay prices range from $4.00 U-PICK off the field, $5.00 each per 50 pound bale; plus delivery (2nd & 3rd cut), and $6.00 each per 60 pound bale; plus delivery (2nd & 3rd cut).
